How? Handmade invitations mailed with blank house shaped cards, instructions along with expected games to be played, enclosed with invitations.
Mailed Housewarming Invitations
Food & Beverage: Each Room had been named and given a theme. Offered food fitting the theme of each room.
1.) Coffee and Current Events Lounge: Coffee Cake
2.) Room for the Living: Fresh Veggies & Fruit with Dips
3.) The Google Room (computer and book room): Candy Gummy Worms spilling out over and through hollowed-out holes in book
4.) Conversation Room: Alcohol along with remaining hors d'oeuvres
5.) Meat Show (kitchen): Meat
6.) Swimming Pool (bathroom): Bowl of Life Safers
7.) Laundered Pig Pen (laundry/pet room): Puppy Chow snack served in dog bowls

Theme: Welcome to our home, allow us to entertain you. Guests were greeted with tour maps upon first arriving. Encouraged to check out our new digs on their own, along with a piece of paper attached to a house shaped paper clip, to partake in Game # 3, What am I?

Games? YES! Guests received a print-out with their mailed invitations explaining the use of the blank house shaped card as well as rules and a how-to for playing the other two games during party. Prizes were to be won.

Props or Supplies:
* House-shaped blank cards
* House-shaped paper clips
* Winning Prizes
* Antique metal keys
Attire: Casual-- No dress code. I wore a white tank top, dark skinny jeans and ballet flats.
To Do:
* Locate and print out inspection photos for before images and adhere to the walls in different rooms to show what each room looked like before we moved in and repainted, etc.
* Name each room and add to floor plan to create tour maps.
* Make and mail out invitations (Keep track of RSVPs).
* Setup House Decorating Contest table with voting cards.
* Hide keys all around the house.
* Come up with random house hold items, print out tabs and attach house shaped paper clips to each.
* Setup specialty themed food / beverages in each room.
* HAVE FUN!!!
