Flower Child

A few years ago I had a friend's baby shower approaching, and I wanted to make her something special, unique and useful. I had already bought her a few items and was taking inventory when I thought, "why not turn her already purchased gifts into a wonderful presentation?" So I sat in silence and thought about it. A short while later I had my ah-ha moment: I would roll the garments into little rose-like flowers and make her a flower basket. After several attempts of folding and rolling I was having difficulty with turning a onesie into a rose. So I invoked the power of the all-knowing internet; surely someone else had the same idea. And sure enough, I found this very helpful video on Martha Stewart's website [see link below]. They gave simple instructions on how to fold and roll each different garment as well as how to tape and transform them into a wonderful bouquet. My friend was blown away and loved her onesie basket so much that I am not sure she ever took them apart to actually use the pieces. At least that was what she told me several months after receiving it. I have since made a couple more, and each time they have been very well received.
