* Two Shots ( 3 oz. ) EFFEN VODKA
* 8 Sprigs of Fresh Mint
* 2 tbsp. Mint Simple Syrup
Making your Mint Simple Syrup:
* 1 cup Sugar
* 1 cup Water
* 4 Sprigs of Fresh Mint
Combine Sugar & Water and heat in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves, stirring consistently. Remove from heat, add four Sprigs of Fresh Mint, cover and chill for a few hours.
Add two Sprigs of Fresh Mint and crushed ice in a drink tumbler or shaker, tumble lightly to release the aroma and oils of the mint. You can also muddle the mint. Add VODKA and Mint Simple Syrup, gently tumble. Pour into Julep Cups filled with crushed ice. Stir well with straw. (This served two 12 oz. vessels)
Garnish with a Sprig of Fresh Mint and a Fancy Gold Horse Swizzle Stick - for an extra Killshot.
