I recently took advantage of Chewy.com’s Buy 3, Get a 4th FREE sale (here) and got all of BB’s toy photo shoot props for our Christmas-theme, next month. While I was shopping I decided to get toys for Mongo our Doberman/Lab and our two kitties, Maggie and Evey. A few days later two large boxes arrive and I gleefully open them up with Mongo and Bridget standing by with equal excitement. I pulled out Mongo’s big boy toys, cut the tags off, give them to him and he walks off with them to his bed. Then I grab the kitties’ new goodies and bring theirs to them where they were snoozin’ in different rooms of our house. They quizzically accepted my unexpected offerings. All the while Bridget is following me around with a bounce in her step. We return to the Chewy boxes and she looks up at me like “and what did I get?” I sifted through all the contents to realize all of BB’s toys were for upcoming shoots. I said “everything in this box is yours BUT you’ll have to wait before getting to play with them. I’m so sorry." She looked up at me with confusion and her sad puppy dog eyes which made me feel like a jerk, I considered giving her just ONE of the items. But then I looked over at her corner of toys and my feeling sorry for her quickly evaporated and I said, “girl, look at all those toys.” She followed me over while I picked out and gave her a few toys I have yet to see her really play with. She happily skipped away with her rollerskate in tow. I laughed out loud about the whole interaction and thought this would be a perfect time for her Little Miss Spoiled tee shoot we had yet to plan. Between all of Mia’s paw-me-downs and photo shoot props, the girl has accumulated quite the stash. Never mind, she has a basket of toys in my office and another under a desk in our living room. Annnd all the others, still packed up and waiting to be used for props. It’s me hi, I’m the problem.
