During his often hysterical, always amazing trip back in time, Marty must make certain his teenage parents-to-be meet and fall in love - so he can get back to the future.

This time-traveling masterpiece first premiered in theatres on July 3rd, 1985. It was released on VHS the following year, on May 22nd, 1986 where folks could watch it and enjoy from the comfort of their sofas and on their own television sets.

“An almost all-day project for a 40-second photo shoot.” ~ Agent J

DIY Lemonade Stand:

I repurposed BB’s ‘Kissing Booth’ using the other side and painted over the pink with white paint on the top, leaving the front in its raw wood form.
I added those cute flags. Made from extra yellow file folders since I didn’t have yellow paper or yellow paint.
I wrapped the two columns with lemon garland twice to make it more full and use up the extra length.
I recycled a piece of cardboard that came with a thrift store frame I bought half a decade ago (it was the exact length and thickness I wanted). I covered it with wood grain contact paper and used the same yellow file folders for freehand block lettering. I’d like to take a second and reflect on how difficult M’s and N’s can be when you overthink it. Last minute I decided to add that lemon over my O because I realized I had forgotten the price sign and didn’t like it on the side or really anywhere else and it fit perfectly as an O in LEMONADE. And lemonade is not free.
I removed a few extra lemons from the garland and put them in my super cute footed bowl from Dylan Kendall. (shop here)!
And of course we had to have BB’s adorable Zest Friend as her little helper. (shop here)!
Finally the whole lemonade stand idea sparked from and revolved around BB’s lemon-printed Frenchie harness (Large) It’s sold out but more can be found here. And we added her daisy-shaped sunnies last minute which rounded out the whole vibe. (shop here)!

The Flying Pig is a creature with origins in Greek mythology, legend, and folklore. The original flying pig was a winged boar named Chrysaor, the offspring of the Gorgon Medusa, and the Greek sea god Poseidon, and the brother of the winged horse Pegasus.

Pink Nightmare

We decided to hop onto the Spirit Halloween silly costume bus. We already had planned to do the Pink Nightmare shoot, only it was scheduled for November 17th as a TBT and for the premiere of A Christmas Story sequel. We already had the Frisco toys from Chewy but I hadn’t received the pink bunny pajamas I had ordered specifically for this shoot yet. But Friday morning I woke up and thought OK, in the Spirit of Halloween let’s join in on the fun and put together something clever. Oh but what? I pondered over my morning cup of joe and really couldn’t force anything into a brilliant vision. Then I remembered the Pink Nightmare shoot we had in the mix for next month. So I tracked our PJs and they said they were expected for delivery that day. Perfect timing, Ok, let’s go with that. So I got to work and found Mia’s old Harry Potter glasses and made a shot-out lens with a clear paper protector sheet and glued it to the rim of the glasses. Done! I pulled out those adorable Frisco toys and then waited for our bunny PJs to be delivered. A day went by and we rolled into Saturday with now the tracking stating it was running late (typical rabbit) with no revised ETA. However at this point, my heart was set on this set and we had to make it work, but of course, time was not on our side. Halloween was less than 48 hours away, and after that, the meme would no longer be relevant. We waited another day but again it was not delivered. So now we had to improvise. I pulled out Mia’s Pandaloon bunny costume (can be seen here, here and here) and BB’s bunny slippers. With a little education and help with Photoshop, this could work. We got it all set up, and snapped the photos, best one was our second frame, she’s a damn professional after all. Then it was time for me to learn some simple basics on how to turn objects in a photo a different color. Well, Ta-Da! I am pleased with how it turned out. We published the photo on all our social media pages around midnight, just in time.

Teacup Frenchie

It all started with a onesie.

I was shopping for some cute baby clothes for my niece when I stumbled upon this onesie at Target. I had to get it for BB. I thought it would be a fun idea to recreate the caricatures and it would be even more perfect to have her wearing the onesie. We already had a pair of heart shaped glasses. So I immediately started brainstorming on how I was going to make a jumbo size teacup that BB could fit inside of. I found this large plastic planter at my local Ace Hardware store and found some foam to use for my handle. I needed something that would be flexible but somewhat dainty. After researching, I found thick foam furniture table edge protectors and thought that would work brilliantly. I was right. I ordered the white, but it was more of an off-white and didn’t look great, so I spray painted it white as a primer and painted it with acrylic paint that closely matched the blue planter. Then I trimmed my handle with some mirror gold paint, the same I used to paint the rim and bottom of my ‘teacup’ planter. This was just the first step for the teacup to use for this specific shoot. I decided because this prop entailed much more work than most of my props, I would incorporate it in other shoots, aptly titled Teaspotting. Now our jumbo teacup will get a bit of makeover accompanied by a matching saucer. Both of which will be featured in some upcoming photoshoots. Stay tuned.
